A week later...
Mega Man left the lab and headed towards the nearby garage. Doctor Light had sent him to pick up a few parts from Auto's store. This was routine around the lab. Mega Man knew the route to Auto's well, mainly because he was a robot and it had been programmed into his mind.
Mega Man entered the garage and started up one of the hoverbikes. Light had an assortment of vehicles in the garage. Most were his creations, the hoverbike included. The top half of the hoverbike looked like a normal four-wheeler. Instead of wheels, there was a flat rubber ring surrounding numerous air jets. These worked together to lift the bike off the ground. The jets would rotate to push the bike forward or backwards.
The bike was Mega Man's perfered choice of vehicle because the bike could move over all forms of terrain, including water. That made the ride down to the city smooth. He didn't have to detour around the seanic lakes and rivers along the way. The only things he had to go around were the trees.
Mega Man began his trip down the mountain side. That was the only real problem with their location. It was so far away from the city. However, that was because the City Council didn't want an explosion in Dr. Light's lab to blow up any more buildings.
The trip down took only a few minutes. Since Mega was the ony thing on the bike, he could speed down the mountain side in a direct line towards the city. This way he bypassed several miles of road simply by veering off the road and over a cliff to land back on the road at the bottom. Mega Man was delighted that he had come up with this shortcut on his own.
"Goodbye, Auto." Mega Man said as he left Auto's store. He quickly placed the parts he was sent for into the trunk of the hoverbike and started back. This time he took the long way. He might damage the parts if he took any of his normal shortcuts. However, he still sped along the path as was normal for him.
Mega Man let his mind wander over recent events. After Wily had left, Dr. Light had taken Mega Man and Roll into his lab. There, he warned them to stay away from Dr. Wily. He explained that Wily was once Dr. Light's partner, but Dr. Light hadn't seen him for years. Previous | List
